October 7: National Bathtub Day

As you read this post, I ask you to listen to “Only Time” by Enya. I have helpfully included a link. Please play, and enjoy.

Bathtubs are nice and all, but the best part about the bathtub is being able to take a bath. I love the idea of a good bath, but they weird me out. Why am I willingly sitting in a pool of my own filth? It seems gross.

Look at that great porcelain bucket!

Then I take a bath and realize I can lay in a pool of boiling hot water for 20 minutes and feel better about various me-dirt kicking around.

For National Bathtub Day, I decided to take a luxurious bath. A friend suggested that I have a bubble bath or use a Lush bath bomb after asking for ideas. I admitted I never used a bath bomb and he dragged me to Lush where I purchased a Butterball and a Honey Bee bomb. I chose the Butterball because it smelt of vanilla and the Honey Bee because I wanted to destroy something bee/wasp-related.

Let me explain. Humber College is home to two bee yards. On June 12, 2015, Humber North unveiled the Humber Honey Bees. Humber Lakeshore unveiled theirs on October 7, 2015. I don’t know what the bee situation was prior to this unveiling, but there are an excessive amount of bees around campus that have been terrorizing everyone. Well, that’s my view of it because bees suck. I wanted revenge.

[Photo C/O Jezebel.com] I'm posting this photo of candy because I don't want to post photos of bees. Ick.

I set up my bath to be the most romantic and luxurious bath ever. I went all out with candles, wine and Enya playing on repeat in the background.

What a romantic bath for one!
What a romantic bath for one!

Then I went to draw my bath.

Step one really should have been to see if my bath plug works.

Baths are stupid.
